Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are between you and Rushikesh Kardile, doing business as Planwise (“Planwise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using Planwise, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Planwise is a personal planning app for tasks, repeating routines, time blocks, reminders, progress, optional cloud backup, and optional task collaboration. Some features require Planwise Pro. Planwise is a planning aid, not medical, mental-health, financial, legal, or other professional advice.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are below the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf. Core planning works without an account. Sign in with Apple is optional and turns on cloud backup; an account is required for Friends and Collaboration. You are responsible for your device, account security, and activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use and moderation
You may use the Service only lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You may not misuse the Service; interfere with its operation or security; reverse engineer it except where law expressly permits; attempt unauthorized access; automate abusive requests; infringe others’ rights; impersonate others; or use collaboration features to share illegal, threatening, harassing, deceptive, or harmful content.
Planwise may filter collaboration text, review user and shared-task reports, remove content, block sharing, or restrict collaboration or account access to protect users and the Service. Use the in-app Report and Block controls for safety concerns. Urgent threats should also be reported to the appropriate local authorities.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of information you enter. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as necessary to operate features you choose, such as cloud backup or sharing. You are responsible for your content and must have the right to share it. A connected friend may add you to an individual shared task without a separate acceptance step, and you can leave it in Planwise. People collaborating on a shared task can view its shared details, so avoid including sensitive information.
5. Planwise Pro, subscriptions, and purchases
Planwise may offer Planwise Pro through a monthly auto-renewable subscription, an annual auto-renewable subscription, and/or a one-time non-consumable lifetime purchase. The purchase screen shows the options currently available, the Planwise Pro features included, billing period, full price and currency charged, and any free-trial eligibility before you confirm. The lifetime option, when offered, is charged once and does not auto-renew.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase.
- An auto-renewable subscription renews for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that end date.
- A trial is available only when Apple shows you as eligible. When a trial ends, the subscription automatically renews at the price and period shown before purchase unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription through Apple. Deleting the app or your Planwise account does not cancel a subscription.
- Apple processes billing and refund decisions under its rules. You can request billing or refund help from Apple.
- Use Restore Purchases in Planwise for an eligible previous purchase.
6. Apple terms
Your license to the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple EULA”). If these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA controls to the extent required.
Planwise, not Apple, is responsible for app support and maintenance to the extent required by applicable law. Contact Planwise Support. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce the terms relating to its platform.
7. License and ownership
Subject to these Terms and the Apple EULA, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Planwise on Apple-branded products you own or control as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules. Planwise, its software, design, branding, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.
8. Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. The Service relies on Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, and Vercel for the purposes described there. Those providers may separately govern information or services they control under their own terms and privacy notices. Their services may sometimes be unavailable.
9. Availability and changes
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device. We may issue updates needed for continued use, security, or compatibility.
10. Termination
You may stop using Planwise at any time and can delete your Planwise account through the in-app controls. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Planwise and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for Planwise in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your content, or your material breach of these Terms.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes may receive additional notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Questions can be sent to hello@planwise.today.
